Liberty 'Ohana Ranch is a 30 acre equestrian property located on the North Shore of the Big Island of Hawaii. Known for gentle trade winds and fertile volcanic soil, the land at Niuli'i (which means “royal coconut”) and the adjacent Valleys (Pololu and Waipi'o) are truly unmatched.

Also known as "The Valley of the Kings”, these lands were once the home of King Kamehameha 1 who was given credit for uniting the Hawaiian islands under his leadership. It is here that the king was raised and other Hawaiian nobility were attracted to the natural beauty of this unique place to rest and play with family ("Ohana) and friends.

Hawaiian Equine Assisted Rehabilitation and Therapy (HEART), is a non-profit 501c3 established to provide professional therapy and rehabilitation services to guests. HEART is also the heart of Liberty 'Ohana Ranch. The Ranch was established and continues to be developed for the purpose of providing equine rehabilitation, emotional healing, counseling and other professional services to the local community and invited guests without cost.

Events and Activities at Liberty 'Ohana Ranch

The Food Tree Farm and Nursery at the ranch were established to provide sustainable food sources to guests and the local community. Current food production includes: Dwarf Coconut (small tree extra large coconut), Papaya, Banana, Ulu (Breadfruit), Star Fruit, Mango, Orange, Pink Grapefruit, Soursop, Lemon, Lime, Tangerine, Avocado, Pineapple, Chestnut, Coffee, Cocoa, and Plumeria. Food produce and food tree starts are shared with the local community without cost.

Events and Activities at Liberty 'Ohana Ranch

To help support HEART and the Food Tree Farm the ranch is made available to private groups for weddings, picnics, and restoration retreats. The deep valleys, rugged coastline, black sand beaches, and abundant waterfalls attract visitors from all over the world to the North shore where Hawaiian kings and their families went to play and movie producers catch scenes for movies like Jurassic Park. Visitors to the ranch enjoy rainbows falling on property, sunrises and sunsets, helicopter tours into the half mile deep valleys, shore fishing and spear fishing off the coastline, snorkeling, whale watching in the winter months, horseback riding along the coast, hiking and mountain biking trails, atv and electric bike tours, and fresh, organic farm to table produce.
